Mr. Michael Goldring
Consultant Upper Limb Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon
Michael Goldring was appointed as an Upper Limb Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultant at The University Hospitals of Leicester in 2024. He is a dual fellowship-trained Upper Limb Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, having completed his specialist training on the Percivall Pott rotation in London. Following this, Michael completed two fellowships specialising in complex primary and revision shoulder and elbow arthroplasty, as well as primary and revision shoulder and elbow arthroscopic surgery.
His practice comprises all aspects of primary and revision shoulder & elbow surgery. Michael also has a practice treating common, routine conditions affecting the hand and wrist. Michael has a particular interest complex arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery in both adult and paediatric patients.
Michael has a Masters degree in Trauma Science from Queen Mary University of London during his training. He continues to stay at the forefront of the field by regularly reviewing articles for leading medical journals, ensuring his practice is informed by the latest research and techniques.
In addition to his clinical work, Michael is passionate about training and education. He has founded and organised numerous courses and scientific meetings and is an active faculty member for students and trainees across the UK, including for the Royal College of Surgeons.
